Wow ... Are you sure she was the mother? not a crazy lady who has escaped from an institute? anyway, I agree with Nasimlibya as education and knowledge are separate, especially back home and it is a sad affair

Putting Education aside, I would have thought a mother will have some maternal instincts that "she need to care for her child" as for god's sake even animals have that instinct!!!!

Thanks for this post :) and take care

That is odd...in Libya women breastfeed openly (behind closed doors (of course!!) at gatherings and weddings etc) and in England (they were going to make it illegal to breastfeed babies in public...I'm not sure what the outcome of that was!!). The majority of people know the benefits of breastfeeding. For a woman to say she stopped breastfeeding her baby after a week because she doesn't like the idea of it...is a weird thing to hear...if she's managed a week why not carry on for another few weeks and just deal with. At the end of the day her baby's welfare should be more important than hers!!?There is an alternative where the baby can still get the mothers milk but she doesn't have to breastfeed him directly!!

salam sis
well i can not say any more most ladies have said what they think. but do we have a kind of ways to teach new mothers the best way to breast feed their new born babeis? or just the blind leading the blind, i agree breast feeding is the most best thing to cherish .as kids grow close to their mothers ,and so healthy to
